New Guidance for Adrenaline Auto Injectors in Schools

The legislation on schools having spare adrenaline auto-injectors (AAIs), such as Epipens, changed on 1st October 2017.

In response to this, the Department for Health has issued a new document Guidance on the use of adrenaline auto-injectors in schools. ITC Centre can find the new document on ITC Support Resources. The document is very comprehensive and would be a useful read for anybody delivering first aid training that involves the care of casualties with anaphylaxis.

For those of you that are not an ITC Centre the guidance can be found by following the link.
