ITC Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement

This qualification is for those who assess in a work environment and a non-work environment.  It is composed of 3 units.

Delivery

Topics include; :

Unit 1: Assessment principles, understanding different types of assessment methods, planning assessment, how to involve learners and others in assessment, making assessment decisions, the quality assurance of the assessment process, managing assessment information, legal and good practice requirements.

Unit 2: Planning the assessment of, making assessment decisions about, providing the information required for occupational competence and maintaining legal requirements and good practice of occupational competence.

Unit 3: Selecting and preparing assessment methods, performing assessments, providing required information and maintain legal and good practice assessing vocational skills, knowledge and understanding.

Features

  • Attendance at an induction event at an ITC Centre.
  • 84 guided learning hours.
  • Assessed by a portfolio of evidence generated in the non-work environment, including; assessment in simulated environments, questioning, assignments, projects, skills testing, case studies and prior learning.
  • Assessed by a portfolio of evidence generated in the work environment, including; observation, witness testimony, examining products of work, discussion with the learner and prior learning.
  • Mentor support.
  • Successful completion will result in the candidate gaining an ITC Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement.
