The training intended to provide skills and knowledge for those new to the Wind Turbine Industry.  It is a pathway to the Level 2 Diploma.

This qualification is composed of 8 units.

Delivery

Units include:

Unit 1: Introduction to employment in the wind turbine sector 

Unit 2: Introduction to manual handling in the wind turbine sector 

Unit 3: Introduction to first aid in the wind turbine sector 

Unit 4: Introduction to working at height in the wind turbine sector 

Unit 5: Introduction to fire safety in the wind turbine sector 

Unit 6: Introduction to electrical awareness in the wind turbine sector 

Unit 7: Introduction to staying safe in the marine environment in the wind turbine sector 

Unit 8: Introduction to employability in the wind turbine sector 

Assessment tasks will result in each candidate producing a portfolio of evidence meeting each assessment criteria in each unit.

Typical qualification support includes:

  • Attendance at an approved ITC Centre
  • 234 guided learning hours
  • Assessed by a portfolio of evidence generated by Centre devised assessment tasks
  • Mentor support
  • Successful completion will result in the candidate gaining an ITC Level 1 Certificate in Safe Working Practice in the Wind Turbine Industry.
